My Market Sentiment Tool
What is this?
This market sentiment tool was inspired by CNN’s Fear and Greed Index, but I made it more personalized so I can see everything that matters most to me in one place. It’s been really useful for me, and I wanted to share it with you.
How to use it?
The top section displays the S&P 500 index daily price, the Fear and Greed Index score, VIX volatility, and the percentage of stocks trading above their moving average. Each of these metrics is also shown as a trend graph for visualization.
The bottom section is a stock lookup tool where you can enter your Alpha Vantage API key (it’s free) to look up stocks. Search history is stored locally on your computer, so it won’t carry over if you switch to a different device.
